Celeste Rioja Crianza

The torres family has been making wine in the ancient cataln town of vilafranca del peneds, south-west of barcelona, since the 17th century. It is this tradition combined with innovation, dynamism and commitment to quality that has put torres firmly on the world map. In 2006 torres were awarded european winery of the year in wine enthusiasts annual wine star awards. Celeste is an opulent wine brimming with fruit, body and colour from vineyards at an altitude of 895m. This is torres first foray into ribera del duero. The celeste is an intense blackberry colour and has a spicy and intense nose, with liquorice and black pepper hints on a base of well ripened fruits blackberry and cherry. On the palate, it is very fruity initially with ripened tannins, also persistent and full bodied.
