The marchand-grillot domaine has many fine sites in gevrey-chambertin. This wine comes from a plot called jouise which is planted fairly low down on the slope on 30 year old vines. Full of black cherry fruit with a firm structure of tannin behind, this is delicious, typical, gutsy gevrey which will age well.
