South Australian Wines was started in 2003 as a direct result of our in-depth knowledge of the industry and successful sales at our retail outlet, Nidderdale Fine Wines, which we established in March 2000.

Specialising in the South Australian area was a natural progression as we have countless personal contacts including winemakers, growers, owners, managers, and people working in all aspects of the industry.

Regular visits have been made by us to the wineries to evaluate the wines and many winemakers and principals have also visited our retail premises in Pateley Bridge near Harrogate.

As well as stocking a very good range of wines from South Australia we also host regular winemaker’s dinners and tastings. We enjoy introducing our customers to ambassadors of the industry who are able to share their knowledge and experience.

Events we have held here include tastings and talks by wine writers Oz Clarke and Matthew Jukes and are attended regularly by Christine Austin, award winning and respected wine writer for the Yorkshire Post and Western Morning News.

If you are looking for wines which are totally unique then you will find a good choice personally imported by us and not available any where else in the UK.

With the criteria of excellent value for money, we are confident you will be satisfied by the quality of our wines.

We are happy to endorse the South Aussie attitude to wine, which is to make it accessible to everyone whatever their level of knowledge and interest and above all to enjoy wine drinking and buying ... it should be fun!!

Monday to Saturday 10am – 6pm
Sunday Closed
Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Easter Sunday
